Police Station Vlaskamp (1992)
height 7 m
Assignment:
a. Elucidation of the entrance
b. Opening up this side of the building towards the outside
c. Clarifying the activities going on inside the building
On the head-sides of the walls on both sides of the entrance to the building, two separate series of light boxes are installed. The lights act as peak indicators, flaring up to messages on the police-radio. The messages sound simultaneously from loudspeaker poles aligning the pavement. Image and sound together mark the actual entrance.
